Our Robot - Vlad

Team 14760B is our biggest team, and scores the best in skills matches. Vlad has a back lift that is able to carry a tower, which also doubles as a counter weight to prevent tipping when they are lifting towers up. Their front clamp is able to consistently grab towers and clears the lip of the balance. Vlad has regular drive motors, but he is very fast and able to go faster than most teams, which is a huge advantage, especially in autonomous.

A lot of changes were made to Vlad to try to keep him balanced, and to not get stuck on rings. The original design grabbed the towers by their pole, rather than the base, but the team later decided that grabbing from the base was more consistent and stable

Vlad is able to do autonomous for both sides, and is able to consistently score the win points. With their speed, they are able to beat most teams to the middle towers.
